Tips for a great application
Write like a human, not a robot.
Your application goes directly to the family, so write it like you're introducing yourself to them in person, we receive hundreds of the same AI written applications, don’t let yours be one of them. Warm, genuine and a little bit of personality goes a long way.
Ditch the copy-paste.
We see hundreds of applications. Families see right through generic answers and so do we. If your "about me" sounds like it could belong to literally anyone, rewrite it. The ones that stand out are the ones that actually sound like a real person.
Spell check. Then spell check again.
A family is trusting you with their kids. A sloppy application full of typos doesn't exactly scream "detail-oriented." Give it a once-over before you hit submit.
Don't be vague about experience.
"I love kids and have lots of experience" tells a family nothing. Tell them what ages you've worked with, what a typical day looked like, and what you actually enjoyed about it. Specific is memorable.
Your photo matters more than you think.
It's the first thing a family sees. No sunglasses, no group shots, no school photos, no gym selfies and please… no photos holding your friday night margarita!
A clear, friendly, well-lit photo of your face says more than you'd expect.
Be honest about what you're looking for.
If you only want weekends, say so. If you're not comfortable with babies, say so. A good match works both ways - there's no point landing a job that isn't right for you.
Remember, this goes straight to the family. Everything you write is shared with the parents who are considering you for the role. Read it back and ask yourself: would I be happy for them to see this exactly as written? If yes, you're good to go.
What happens after you apply?
Once you hit submit, our team reviews your application and passes it on to the family. We'll reach out if we have any questions along the way.
From there, it's over to the family and we'll be honest with you, this part can take a little time. Parents are busy, and sometimes it takes a couple of weeks for them to review all their options and get back to us. We know waiting is the worst, but hang tight, we haven't forgotten about you.
If you're selected, we'll reach out straight away to let you know you've been matched!
If the role has been filled by someone else, you'll receive an email from us once the family has made their decision. We'll always let you know either way so you're never left in the dark.

4.PAYMENT
You've been matched!
When the family selects you, we'll reach out to let you know! To secure your place and confirm your commitment to the role, a small one-time fee applies:
Nannying role $30.00
Babysitting role $15.00
This fee confirms you're serious about the role and keeps our network genuine for families. It's not a commission, we never take a cut of your earnings.
Once we reach out to let you know you've been matched, you'll have 24 hours to pay the securing fee. After that, the role may be offered to another candidate, so don't sit on it too long!
Once you're connected with a family, they're yours to rebook directly, forever.
5.CONNECT WITH YOUR FAMILY
Once your fee is paid, we'll send you the family's contact details so you can arrange a meet and greet. Take the time to get to know them, ask questions and make sure the role feels right for you.
You have every right to say no if the role doesn't feel like the right fit. Trust your instincts, a good match works both ways.
Safety Reminder for All Babysitters & Nannies
Your safety and comfort are just as important as the family’s. Before accepting any job, always arrange a quick phone or video call with the family. This helps you get a feel for who they are, understand the job expectations, and ensure the role feels like the right fit for you.
✔️ Trust your gut – if something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to say no.
✔️ Make sure you know the address and any special instructions ahead of time.
✔️ Always let a friend or family member know where you’re going and what time you're expected to finish.
✔️ Bring a charged phone with you and have emergency contacts saved.
