For nannies
The questions we get emailed over and over, answered in one place so you can get back to what you do best.
Join as a nanny on the website and create your free profile in the nanny portal. You add your experience, qualifications, availability, rate and documents once, and it stays saved. No more filling out a fresh form for every single role.
If a friend or another nanny told you about us, pop their name in the 'referred by' field when you sign up. We love knowing who sent you our way.
Sign in to your portal and browse every live role in one place. Each one has a reference number, for example 074 COLLAROY, plus the schedule, the minis, the rate and what the family is after. No more hunting through stories or DMs.
One tap on the role card. Your saved profile and the role reference number are sent straight through, so we know exactly which role caught your eye. Love more than one? Apply for as many as you like.
Yes. Set your alerts in your portal and we will let you know by email, SMS or both the moment a new role goes live.
You must be 18 or over, and hold a valid Working With Children Check, First Aid HLTAID012, two Australian references and a minimum of two years experience with minis. You also need to consent to a National Police Check.
Yes. You can get certified with Little Treasures First Aid, and Nannying Network girls get a discount. Head to the 'for nannies' page, request the discount code with your email and we will send it straight through so you can book in.
Yes. We gather and verify your mandatory credentials and references before we shortlist you to a family. The family then does their own final checks and interview, so keep everything in your profile current and up to date.
A clear, friendly photo, your full name and suburb, current WWCC and First Aid details, police check, two Australian references, your availability and rate, and an 'about me' that actually sounds like you. Families see your profile the moment you apply, so generic copy paste answers will not get you far.
Never. Your money is yours and the family pays you directly at your rate. We charge one small fee to secure the role, and after that the family is yours to work with long term.
It is first in, best dressed. We shortlist nannies to the family as applications come through, so the sooner you apply with a complete profile, the better your chances.
We will let you know, send you a payment link for the role securing fee, and once that is settled we share the family's contact details so you can arrange your first day.
Yes. Your portal keeps a list of every role you have applied for and where it is up to, so you are never left guessing.
No. We do not advertise live in nannies or au pairs. We are also The Nannying Network, not the Cleaning Network, so we never advertise maid, cleaning or household help roles.
Do your own due diligence before you accept, and tell us if something feels off. You are never locked into a role you are not happy with. If you ever feel unsafe, call 000 immediately.
Contact the family directly as early as you can, then let us know. Last minute cancellations are not refundable because the role usually cannot be filled in time.
Give the family as much notice as you possibly can and tell them directly, then let us know through your portal so we can update the role.
No shows are removed from the network and will not be able to apply for roles with us again. Our families trust us, and we take that seriously.
No. That was the old way. Your profile is saved in the portal, so applying to a new role takes seconds. Just keep it fresh.
