For nannies
Join the network, browse every live role in your portal, and apply with one click. From sign up to first meet, here is exactly how it works.
01
Sign up as a nanny or babysitter to create your free portal profile. Once you are in, every live role is visible in one place, and you can apply directly from the portal.
Tell us about your experience, availability, preferences and upload a clear photo. The more complete your profile, the faster we can match you with the right family.
Log in to your portal to see every available role, filter by location and type, and view full details before you apply. No more hunting through stories or DMs.
Choose how you want to hear about new roles. Get notified by email, SMS, or both the moment a role that suits you goes live.
For a quick visual round up of new roles, follow us at @thenannyingnetwork. It is a great backup, but the portal is always first and has the full details.
Every role has its own unique reference number showing the role number and location, for example: 033 COOGEE.
The portal shows the reference number on every role card, so you always know exactly which one you are applying for.
02
No more long application forms every time. Set up your profile once, keep it fresh, and applying for a role takes a single click straight from the role card in your portal.
Before you start browsing, make sure your profile is complete. Families see it the moment you apply, so the more thorough it is, the faster we can match you.
Make sure the following are all filled in and up to date before you apply:
Do not have your WWCC yet? You can apply online, it is quick and easy.
You can get certified with Little Treasures First Aid, and Nannying Network girls get a discount. Pop your email in and we will send your discount code straight through so you can book in.
Once your profile is set, browsing and applying is easy. See a role you love? Hit apply on the role card. Your profile and the role reference number are sent straight through, so we know exactly which opportunity caught your eye. Love more than one? Apply for as many as you like.
Your profile goes directly to the family, so write it like you are introducing yourself to them in person. We receive hundreds of the same AI written applications, do not let yours be one of them. Warm, genuine and a little bit of personality goes a long way.
We see hundreds of profiles. Families see right through generic answers and so do we. If your 'about me' sounds like it could belong to literally anyone, rewrite it. The ones that stand out are the ones that actually sound like a real person.
A family is trusting you with their minis. A sloppy profile full of typos does not exactly scream 'detail oriented'. Give it a once over before you hit save.
'I love kids and have lots of experience' tells a family nothing. Tell them what ages you have worked with, what a typical day looked like, and what you actually enjoyed about it. Specific is memorable.
It is the first thing a family sees. No sunglasses, no group shots, no school photos, no gym selfies and please, no photos holding your Friday night margarita. A clear, friendly, well lit photo of your face says more than you would expect.
If you only want weekends, say so. If you are not comfortable with babies, say so. A good match works both ways. There is no point landing a role that is not right for you.
Remember, this goes straight to the family. Everything on your profile is shared with the parents who are considering you for the role. Read it back and ask yourself: would I be happy for them to see this exactly as written? If yes, you are good to go.
03
Our team reads every application and checks the basics before forwarding it to the family. We make sure the role reference number is included, your details are complete, and your profile matches what the family is looking for.
If anything is missing, we will reach out. If everything looks good, your application goes straight to the family for review.
Once you hit submit, our team reviews your application and passes it on to the family. We will reach out if we have any questions along the way.
From there, it is over to the family. We will be honest with you, this part can take a little time. Parents are busy, and sometimes it takes a couple of weeks for them to review all their options and get back to us. We know waiting is the worst, but hang tight, we have not forgotten about you.
If you are selected, we will reach out straight away to let you know you have been matched.
If the role has been filled by someone else, you will receive an email from us once the family has made their decision. We will always let you know either way so you are never left in the dark.
04
You have been matched. When the family selects you, we will reach out to let you know. To secure your place and confirm your commitment to the role, a small one time fee applies.
Nannying role
$30.00
Babysitting role
$15.00
This fee confirms you are serious about the role and keeps our network genuine for families. It is not a commission, we never take a cut of your earnings.
Once we reach out to let you know you have been matched, you will have 24 hours to pay the securing fee. After that, the role may be offered to another candidate, so do not sit on it too long.
Once you are connected with a family, they are yours to rebook directly, forever.
05
Once your fee is paid, we will send you the family's contact details so you can arrange a meet and greet. Take the time to get to know them, ask questions and make sure the role feels right for you.
You have every right to say no if the role does not feel like the right fit. Trust your instincts. A good match works both ways.
Your safety and comfort are just as important as the family's. Before accepting any role, always arrange a quick phone or video call with the family. This helps you get a feel for who they are, understand the role expectations, and ensure the role feels like the right fit for you.
Trust your gut. If something does not feel right, it is okay to say no.
Make sure you know the address and any special instructions ahead of time.
Always let a friend or family member know where you are going and what time you are expected to finish.
Bring a charged phone with you and have emergency contacts saved.
Join the nanny portal, set your alerts, and apply directly to the roles that suit you.
