The
Eldest
Daughter

The oldest of four, so she has been doing this since long before it was a job. Nineteen, studying psychology, and the reason the four year old thinks she is a big kid now.

"I love seeing the world through their eyes. Everything is so new and exciting for them."

Caring, positive, empathetic, her words, and honestly the three we would have picked too. She is at uni studying to become a psychologist, and as the eldest of four she has been in charge of small people for most of her life. Arts and crafts, playing outside, baking, family, friends. That is the whole personality and it is a good one.

She started babysitting a few years ago and has loved every family she has worked with. She joined the network because she wanted more of them, the kind who value proper care and want someone they can trust in the house.

For the parents

Why she does it

Your favourite part about the job?

My favourite part is meeting lots of lovely children and their families. I truly enjoy playing with kids and being able to help out around the home.

Trust, built slowly

What do you do to help a mini feel safe with you?

I always make sure to create a warm, welcoming environment by listening to the kids, respecting their boundaries, and giving them some choice in the decisions we make.

Something I have found very good for this is letting the kids pick what music we listen to in the car.

The long game

What do you love most about working with kids?

I love seeing the world through their eyes, everything is so new and exciting for them. I also enjoy helping them develop new skills and watching their personalities shine.

Why the network

What drew you to The Nannying Network?

I joined because I wanted to connect with families who value quality care and trust. I started babysitting a few years ago and have really enjoyed all of my experiences. I love the idea of being able to connect with more families.

Mary Poppins. She is kind, magical, and has the perfect balance of fun and nurturing. Plus I love how cool her magic bag is.

Stuffed animal or blanket?

Stuffed animal, no contest. Soft, cuddly and the perfect companion for any adventure, nap time or playtime.

Meet Crunchy

The yellow bear

Her own comfort item is a yellow bear called Crunchy. She has had him since she was a baby. He is still around.
